Massage Therapy Certification Program
The 675-Hour Massage Therapy Certification Program is designed to give students a solid foundation in the fundamentals of massage and bodywork therapy, supported by an in-depth understanding of the sciences behind massage: anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology. Days of Mindfulness and Self-care are woven into the curriculum to give time to integrate and process the rich psychic material that can arise during the training. The Asheville School of Massage & Yoga is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork as a continuing education provider. Yoga and Dual Certification
Yoga is an integrated part of every course in the curriculum. Our students graduate with the confidence to share simple yoga sequences, as well as pranayama and meditation techniques, with their friends, family, and clients. In addition to a Certificate of Achievement for completing our 675-hour Massage Therapy Certification Program, each graduate will receive a Certificate of Completion documenting 100 hours of training in yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation practices.
Small Class Size
Are classes are small and have a student-to-teacher ratio of 16:1 for hands-on classes.Flexible Class Hours
Regular classes are held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9-5 allowing students to have ample time for work and study.Individualized Tutorials
Students will meet regularly with their teachers for individual tutorial sessions and to discuss individual questions and concerns as they progress.Self-care and Mindfulness Immersions
Self-care and mindfulness classes cover practices to prevent burn-out, body care stretches, meditation, energy balancing, imagery and visualization, and strategic planning and goal setting. In this part of the program, we offer students an opportunity for rich self-discovery and exploration through yoga, meditation, journaling, and group discussion. Themes include: the journey, allies, sustainability, replenishing, and completion.
